
About the Role
A CLC Grant Writer while serving as the Grant Writer for CLC, this role leads with integrity. A CLC Grant Writer researches and gathers information to prepare RFPs; identify concepts that support the needs of CLC; gather and format information according to the requirements of the grants; write drafts and obtain approvals prior to submission; determine proposal concepts by identifying and clarifying opportunities and need; study requirements for proposals (RFPs); attend weekly meetings to discuss strategies based on the needs of CLC; meet all deadlines; obtain grant funding that will support the needs of CLC.
Requirements
Implement/monitor all expectations of each grant
Provide CLC Executive Director with quarterly reports of grants obtained (evidence of effectiveness of the position)
Provide the funders reports per the deadlines
Be aware of open, reoccurring and forecasted grant funding
Maintaining records in hard copies and computer databases.
Project Management expertise with experience
Non-Profit experience
2+ years of experience as a successful grant writer
Top-shelf research skills
Astute writer with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to respond with flexibility to demands and requirements of the hiring contractor/funder
Knowledge of how to properly appeal to the funding organizations
Ability to understand the needs of both the agency in need of funding and the organization that is offering the grant money
Great organizational skills
Being able to understand and execute complex instructions
Outstanding computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite)
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines required
Ability to provide reports (written and digital) to the company and the funding agency
Ability to meet all expectations in monitoring the grant funds
Familiarity with budgeting and purchasing process
Ability to work independently and meet all deadlines
Exhibits visionary and innovative strategies in grant writing
Superior communication skills in order to establish and maintain trusting relationships
Committed to working collaboratively
